Recipe For Artisan Wild Mushroom and Burrata Pizza

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough – made fresh or bought from a bakery
  • Brown mushrooms, Crimini or Shiitake or a mix, sauteed in olive oil or butter until tender
  • Optional: Fresh Garlic and Thyme can be sauteed with the mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Fresh Burrata cheese
  • Fresh Italian sausage, medium hot or mild
  • Urbani White Truffle and Porcini 6.4 oz can
  • Parmigiana Reggiano cheese for grating
  • Olive oil – extra virgin cold pressed
  • Fresh ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

Roll pizza dough into a circle. Place dough on a pizza peel, taking care to flour the board or dust with fine corn meal so that pizza dough does not stick to the peel.

Lightly spread 1 6.4ox can of Urbani White Truffle and Porcini on the dough, spreading evenly.

Place pieces of Italian sausage evenly on the pizza. Add fresh Burrata cut into pieces. Add sauteed mushrooms.

Generously grate fresh Parmigiana Regiano over the surface. Drizzle with Olive Oil and freshly grated black pepper to taste.

Bake until fully cooked, with crust turning a golden brown in a convection oven at 475 degrees.
